Fundraising

Taking Care of business

Why do we have so many of these?

Fundraising is an intregal part of any booster organization and we're no different. During these economic times of doing much more with much less, we try to bridge the gap to keep band affordable. Band dues and the revenue generated by operating the Chris Gilman Stadium home field concession stands are the largest sources of revenue for the CCBB, but it still doesn't cut the mustard.

We incorporate fundraisers as a way to fully fund our operating budget. Budgets shrink and swell each year as different needs arise for the band and we believe we are good stewards of these funds.  We are proud to say that an effective savings plan and extending the expected usability of last year's band uniforms from 7 to 10 years, we were able to purchase new band uniforms for our students to wear this year.

There are many opportunities for supporters and contributors to participate in a variety of campaigns throughout the year, but these campaigns don't run themselves. It takes volunteers to help make each fundraising event successful.

Taking Care of Your Business

It's hard to know just how your business needs to be insured and what you should be insuring for. But don't worry, today we're going to go over all your questions.

With CCBB fundraisers, we are able to...

  • Purchase new uniforms and provide for the proper upkeep of them. Ever wonder much does it cost to launder 120+ band uniforms?
  • Purchase and/or rent a variety of quality of instruments and provide for necessary upkeep, maintenance and repair. If the instruments cannot sound good, then the band cannot sound good.
  • Feed our students during away events. District AAAAAA schools are located hours from Camden County resulting early departures to and late returns from, sometimes in the early hours of the next morning.
  • Continuing education for the directors. If we do not invest in our leadership to learn and share with other successful directors, we are marching an uphill battle to be creative and entertaining
  • Purchase competitive show music. Competitions are tough with quality, entertaining show bands.
